Sometimes, one’s extender is unable to receive signals from the home network due to some technical bug. This issue can be easily resolved by just reconnecting your Netgear Wi-Fi range extender to your home network. This is a very simple process as the extender and your router are previously connected and obtained a valid IP address. 1. Using an Ethernet cable, connect your range extender to your PC.
  2. Then, open any browser like Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and type http://mywifiext.net into your browser’s address bar and search button.
  3. If you can’t access this link then, click on the link. When the login page will appear, fill all details.
  4. The default username is ‘admin’ and the default password is ‘password’. If you keep your own password and forget in the future then, you can recover it by clicking on the Username & Password Help link. And to reset your username and password, you have to factory reset your router.
  5. Now, click on ‘login’ and select setup > wireless settings.
  6. Under the security section, make sure that the network key field matches your router password.
  7. Press on ‘Apply’.
  8. And now, you can reconnect your devices.
